When Diana learned that they were off to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern that night, she was keen to join them. To enable the Princess to have her way while avoiding a scandal, the friends dressed her up as a man, hoping that she would ‘pass for a rather eccentrically dressed gay male model. This is our imagining of Diana's look that night.
20% of the profit made from the sale of the Diana at the RVT will go to @mptofficial - founded by Brian May, Roger Taylor and their manager Jim Beach in memory of rock band Queen’s iconic lead singer Freddie Mercury who died in 1991 from AIDS-related causes.
The more significant part of MPT funding goes to small grassroots organisations, which the bigger charities overlook. MPT has funded well over 1,500 projects in 57 countries, giving away over 17 million dollars in the global battle against AIDS.
Help us to help them to use Freddie’s memory and charisma to keep funding these desperately needed HIV/AIDS global initiatives.
